Creative Process

Think of us as your in-house creative production. The relationship we arrange to our mutual satisfaction is bound to make us partners in the production process. We’re always open to your feedback and ideas, comments and suggestions. The timeline below would function as a backbone of our creative relationship.

On this journey, we learn the fundamentals of your business, details of your project, your goals, and who your target audience is. We draft the ideas and sketches, simplify complex topics, write concepts and scripts, ensuring everything is well-organized to produce the video you are satisfied with. Your feedback is welcome at any point, meeting your revision requests before each step is complete.

It is clear that every project is specific in a certain way, and the process follows the projects in that regard. For example, not all projects start from scratch. We can always modify our workflow to integrate into an ongoing project, at any stage.

  • BRIEF & BRAINSTORM

We’re here for you via email, phone or video call—whichever suits you best. We can have as many meetings as necessary to make a solid foundation for our project.

    Main topics to talk about:

Content. What do you wish to present or explain? Let us know about your ideas, ask for suggestions! We can start a new project or step in and handle a part of the animation production process in progress.

Goals. What do you wish to achieve with the project? Perhaps educate viewers, find new clients, increase sales, simply entertain…?

Target Audience. Who is the primary audience for the video? Is there a new audience you’d like to attract?

Style. Do you prefer a special kind of aesthetics or tone? Would you like to hear our suggestions? This is the point where we come up with styling references or a moodboard.

Format and Placement. Do you need a 4K video or a special format for your web, social media or built-in displays? How long should the video be? Let us know!

Production Period. What is the deadline for the video final? We would set a timetable that includes each phase of the process.

There are no charges for the Brief & Brainstorm phase.

  • IDEAS & ESTIMATES

At this point, we lay out our first drafts—ideas for the script and style, sketches, moodboard, and other examples to communicate our vision of your video!

We will also provide estimates on production period and costs.

This part is also free of charge.

  • CONCEPT & STYLE FRAMES

Our designers will come up with one or more design examples or style frames, giving you the first glance on how your video will look. The design can be modified until it looks just right.

At your request, we can provide more styling concepts, as well as more samples of each style. Depending on the type of animation, we can provide animation examples (proof of concept), as well.

    Style Frames Example:

  • SCRIPT

Based on the script drafts we previously agreed on, our writers will write the complete video script—or adapt the one you already have.

A short or a simple script is free of charge. For longer, more complex scripts, we can offer a chapter for free as a proof of concept.

  • STORYBOARD

Adding sketches or stock art to your video script gets you one step closer to visualizing what the final video looks like. Also, it gives us a clearer picture of what modifications to the script, voice over text and storyboard sketches we might need to make.

The storyboard isn’t always necessary. Depending on the project, we can skip to making the design board directly.

  • DESIGNBOARD

Our designers and illustrators use the script directives and storyboard sketches as guidelines to make final design images and elements for the animation. You receive the design board that will give you a final overview of the future video. And an opportunity for final modifications, design-wise.

    Designboard Example:

  • VOICE OVER

Having in mind your VO style preferences and the needs for the project, we provide a few options for the vocal talent. Of course, you can provide one yourself.

The cost depends on the choice of vocal talent.

  • ANIMATION PRODUCTION

It is our animators’ task to bring the stage that is perfectly set by now, to life! We will present the work done part by part, so that we can perfectly align our next steps to your feedback, as well as make all the necessary revisions for each preview we’d send.

  • SOUND DESIGN

While the animation production is still ongoing, we start designing the sound fx, at the same time providing you with optional music soundtracks as the final building blocks for the complete experience!
